A civil society group, African Initiative Against Corruption and Examination Malpractice (AFICEM), has raised alarm over persistent examination malpractice in public-private schools, saying the country’s future was under threat.

The group alleged that corruption was the bane of Nigerian growth, saying it would soon make public the data of schools and institutions involved in various corrupt practices.

Abioye said the NGO was partnering with Independent Corrupt Practices Commission (ICPC) and other stakeholders to fight the cause.

He disclosed that when teachers compromise and graduate students through malpractice, the adverse effect would be on the society as they would still come out to aspire to become leaders.

According to him, AFICEM had raised over 2,000 corruption ambassadors, who were stationed in their various offices in the country to carry the crusade against corruption.

He tasked principals to wake up to the call and ensure they stick to examination ethics in their various schools.
