An ex-Senator, representing Ebonyi Central, Emmanuel Onwe, a former Speaker of Bayelsa State House of Assembly, Friday Komboyein and four others have been arraigned before the Code of Conduct Tribunal, CCT, in Abuja on charges of breach of code of conduct for public officers.

They were arraigned on Wednesday, November 27.
According to a statement by spokesman for the CCT, Ibraheem Zakaria, Onwe, who was also a former Commissioner in Ebonyi State, was arraigned separately for refusing to return his asset declaration form at the appropriate time, while Komboyein and the others were arraigned together for allegedly abusing their offices.

Those arraigned with the Komboyein are: two former Clerks – Aaron Timiye and Owudogu Edward as well as two other ex-Accountants – Thomas Tamaraodubo and Koroye Stephen.

According to the CCT spokesman, all the defendants pleaded not guilty to the charges preferred against them.
