President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appealed to protesters and organizers of the ongoing #EndBadGovernance protest to suspend further demonstrations and engage in dialogue.

President Tinubu stated this in his address to Nigerians on Sunday, August 4, while reassuring Nigerians of his commitment to democratic good governance, respect for constitutional rights, and protection of innocent citizens’ lives and properties.

The president also defended his economic policies, including the removal of fuel subsidies and the abolition of multiple foreign exchange systems, as necessary decisions to reverse decades of economic mismanagement.
