The Commissioner of Police, Benue State Command, CP Mukaddas Garba said the command has deployed adequate security to the field to ensure a hitch free celebration.
Felicitating with Muslim faithful in the States as they celebrate year 2020 Eid el-Kabir, the police Commissioner assured that there would be adequate security during and after the celebration.
In his detailed operation order, Mukaddas said he has deployed adequate Police officers across the state for a hitch free merrymaking and directed officers to be professional and civil in carrying out their duties.
A press statement signed by the command’s Public Relation Officer (PPRO) DSP Catherine Anene, stated that all tactical commanders have been directed to ensure adequate supervision of their men deployed to various points.

CP Mukaddas advised members of the public to be security conscious and report suspicious activities to the police.
He also cautioned them to also employ all available security measures to stay safe from intending criminals.
The Commissioner further emphasised the need to observe COVID-19 preventive measures such as social distancing, washing of hands with soap, wearing of face masks, use of alcohol based hand sanitizers among others while celebrating.
