The raid came barely two days after his successor, Lawal Daura, was sacked as a result of the siege laid to the National Assembly by the operatives of the SSS on Tuesday.

It was gathered that Ekpeyong was released after interrogation which bordered on getting information on Daura.

It would be recalled that Daura had prevented a raid of Ekpeyong’s house in 2017.

Operatives of the EFCC and the DSS had a confrontation at the time before it was stemmed.
