Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftains in the Edo Central senatorial district in Edo State have expressed support for the aspiration of Barrister Kenneth Imasuangbon, popularly known as ‘Rice Man’, to clinch the party’s ticket at the primaries scheduled for June 23.
Imasuangbon had rebuffed pressure being mounted on him to step down from the race for Obaseki.
The Edo Central PDP chieftains, in a press statement on Saturday, said their support for Imasuangbon was due to the need to reward loyalty and commitment.
Speaking on behalf of the PDP chieftains from the five local governments in Edo Central, Elder Solomon Eboigbe urged Imasuangbon not to accept any offer to step down from the race.
