Mr. Pere Gbe said that the training was a measure to complement the efforts of the state government to empower and build resilience of vulnerable women in the rural areas through skill acquisition in soap making and production of alcohol- based hand sanitizer, among others

He said “the training exercise among others was to cushion economic hardship in the state particularly at this period of COVID-19 pandemic disease, the issue of COVID-19 pandemic disease has been a major concern to government all over the world and the state Governor, Ifeanyi Okowa, has shown uncommon leadership in the fight against the disease.”
