Men of the Operation Zenda, a joint team of security personnel in Benue State said they have recovered the decayed remains of one Mrs. Bridget Ihom who was allegedly killed by some armed elements some months ago.
It was gathered that Sgt. Abraham Ihom, a Police officer serving under Katsina-Ala division and his wife, Bridget were sometime in May, 2019, kidnapped and killed and buried by unknown gun men in Zaki Biam, Ukum local government area of Benue state when he visited home.
The remains of the deceased was recovered when a crack team of the Operation led by SP. Justin Gberindyer, (OC ZENDA) waded into the matter and searched the area for about two weeks.
Sources from the area told newsmen that the Gberindyer led men of Operation Zenda also arrested some suspects in connection with the murder of the couple.

It was further gathered the arrested killers took the police to the shallow grave where the already decomposed body of Mrs Ihom was recovered.
Meanwhile, the husband, Sgt. Ihom is yet to be seen dead or alive.
The family of Sgt Ihom commended SP. Justin Gberindyer and his team, the Nigerian Police and Governor Samuel Ortom for intensifying the war against criminality in the state.
It is on record that the same men of Operation Zenda led by SP. Justin Gberindyer only a few weeks ago in Benue state, uncovered a mass grave in Ushongo local Government where 16 kidnapped victims were buried and cassava planted on their graves.
The discovery in Ushongo also led to the arrest of six persons suspected to be behind the kidnappings and another who is the receiver of stolen items all of whom were recently arraigned in court.
When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Catherine Anene confirmed the story.
She said the suspects were already being transfered to the state Police Command in Makurdi.
