Nigeria’s COVID-19 cases on Monday hit 8,068 as the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control confirmed 229 new cases.
The new cases were recorded across 14 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
The NCDC announced the new cases on its verified Twitter handle.
According to the data released, Lagos recorded the highest number of cases with 90 new cases followed by Katsina and Imo states with 27 and 26 cases respectively.

The latest data showed that seven deaths were recorded in the last 24 hours – Sunday night to Monday night, while 48 recoveries were reported.
