Africa’s COVID-19 Cases Pass 1.24m As Death Toll Nears 30,000

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) said 168 fresh cases of Coronavirus were recorded in the country on Tuesday, November 24.
 
The agency disclosed this in an update on its website late on Tuesday night.
 
According to the update, one death was recorded while 70 cases were discharged on the day in review.
 
Currently, Nigeria’s total infections tally is 66,607, deaths, 1,169 while recoveries are 62,311.
 
The NCDC update indicated that the 168 new cases were reported from nine states and Abuja as follows; FCT (61), Lagos (50), Kaduna (27), Oyo (12), Rivers (6), Katsina (5), Ogun (3), Kwara (2), Edo (1) and Kano (1).
