Court remands bricklayer for defiling wife’s 14-year old sister

An Ikeja Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday ordered the remand of a 38-year-old bricklayer, Kehinde David, for allegedly defiling his wife’s 14-year-old sister.

David is to spend time at Kirikiri Prisons till August 7 when the case will come up for mention.

Magistrate B.O Osunsanmi, who did not take the plea of the defendant, ordered the police to return the case file to the Office of the Lagos State Director of Public Prosecutions for legal advice.

Earlier, the Prosecution Counsel, ASP Ezekiel Ayorinde, informed the court that the defendant committed the offence on June 6 at his residence,

According to him, the defendant beat up the victim and defiled her contrary to the provisions of Section 137 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
