It also predicted thunderstorms and rains over the region later in the day with day and night temperatures of 28 to 31 and 22 to 23 degrees Celsius respectively.

According to NiMet, northern states will experience cloudy conditions with prospects of thunderstorms over Sokoto, Katsina, Kano, Dutse, Yobe and Kebbi during the morning hours.

“Later in the day, cloudiness will likely persist with chances of thunderstorms over Sokoto, Katsina, Yelwa and Gusau with day and night temperatures of 31 to 35 and 22 to 24 degrees Celsius respectively.

“Cloudy conditions with prospects of thunderstorms and rains are expected over most parts of the country especially in the afternoon hours in the next 24 hours,” NiMet predicted.
