Rev Musa Panti Filibus, the Lutheran World Federation President and the Archbishop of the Lutheran Church of Christ in Nigeria, called on the Adamawa State Government to employ more Christian Religion Knowledge (CRK) teachers.
He made the call during a courtesy visit to the Governor of Adamawa State, Umaru Mohammed Jibrilla Bindow on Monday in Yola.
During the visit, the Archbishop thanked the Ggvernor for hosting the church leadership and stressed the need for CRK teachers.
“Many of those that were serving as CRK teachers have either retired or are in the process of retiring, leaving a huge vacuum that needs to be filled as a matter of urgency,” he said.
He also asked the governor to continue to pursue deliverance true dividends to the people.
He pledged his commitment to support the good programmes of the government and assured the governor that he would be available to render any support at any time the need arose.
n his response the governor thanked the church leadership for the visit and shared how delighted he was to receive the president of the LWF.
He said he would contact the Commissioner for Education to see to the request on employment of more CRK teachers.
Giving the vote of thanks the Deputy Governor, Engr. Martin Nasir Babale thanked the Archbishop and his entourage for coming.
