A year after her death, an album of songs written by Mrs. Busola Oyedokun will be launched on Saturday, May 4.

The album titled “The Almighty,” has been put together by late Busola’s husband, Christopher Oyedokun.

Busola who passed on May 2, 2018, after battling Lupus nephritis released her first album titled, “Na You Baba,” early in the year 2018.

In an interview with SelahAfrik after the release of the album, Busola had expressed the hope of launching her second among other things. Responding to a question on future projects, she said: “This is out now but I cannot afford to rest. I have a target that by December – before my 40th birthday, I must have a complete album, ready to launch. Also a book and a documentary. We are trying to work on a documentary concerning this Lupus issue. It’s titled “Shades of Lupus.” You will get to learn about my story and other people’s story as well.”

Unfortunately, she couldn’t see those dreams through but thanks to her husband the album has become a reality.

According to him, “she had lots of songs that she couldn’t put out. The album was her dream. She wanted to have her songs out there but we had to battle Lupus. Since she had written the songs, I called some people to help sing them,” he explained.

In celebration of her life, and commemoration of a year of her passing, the album is being launched to immortalise her.

Before her death, Busola Oyedokun, who had a degree in a English Literature was a song writer and voice over and gospel artiste. She also worked as the music director at Eagles Height Church choir, among others.
