The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Senator Ademola Adeleke is enjoying early lead in the Osun State governorship election held on Saturday.

With the final results announced in 18 local governments of the state by the returning officers of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Adeleke is leading with 165,596 votes.

He is being followed by the All Progressives candidate, Gboyega Oyetola, with 146, 923 votes.

 There is therefore a difference of 18,673 votes.

Senator Iyiola Omisore of the Social Democratic Party, SDP, is coming third with 71,028 votes.

More results are being expected from 12 other local governments.
