Lagosians woke up on Friday, February 8, to see that surprisingly, the horrible sight of the infamous Tankers and Trailers which usually queued along the length of eko bridge had gone.

The tankers and trailers have been a major concern to the people of Lagos state as they not only cause traffic, but also pose a safety risk to commuters on that axis.

Below are some reactions from Lagosians.

Driving through Eko bridge down to Alaka through to Stadium and there is no sight of trailers, tankers and containers.

“The tankers that have been on Eko Bridge & Ikorodu road have only been cleared on 2 occasions in more than 1 year. For the Lagos Marathon & for Buhari’s visit on Saturday.

“The Government is WICKED…

So because @MBuhari Will be in Lagos tomorrow they had to move all those trucks away from the bridges and roads leading to Eko Bridge /Funsho Williams Avenue and axis..

So where did they automatically keep them?

It’s pathetic

How long do we continue this facade!” – @FireofFola

“There are no trucks on Eko bridge because the president is coming tomorrow. 2nd time in a week that these trucks have disappeared, which means there is a solution. These people don’t rate us.” – @ayaj_

“Osibanjo comes to Lagos, Ambode clears road.

Theresa May comes Lagos Ambode clears tankers. Buhari 48hrs before he arrives, Eko bridge is clear.

Lagos tax payers suffer daily to work or business Ambode unlooks. Aren’t tankers tourist attractions in Lagos, why take them off?” – @ThePakuma
