Buhari rejoices with Okunnu at 85

President Muhammadu Buhari has rejoiced with Alhaji Femi Okunnu on the occasion of his 85th birthday.

Okunnu was Nigeria’s Federal Commissioner for Works and Housing under the Yakubu Gowon administration.

In a statement issued by his media aide, Mr. Femi Adesina, the president praised Okunnu for his contributions to laying the foundation for the nation’s growth in the area of infrastructure.

According to him, Okunnu ensured the planning and implementation of network of roads for the country in the 60s.

His efforts, Buhari said, remained relevant half a century after.

He prayed Almighty God to continue to grant Okunnu long life with more strength and wisdom in his service to the nation.
