President Buhari on Friday met with governors Atiku Bagudu and Abubakar Badaru of Kebbi and Jigawa states at the Villa.
Though the agenda of the meeting was not made public, it was believed to have been in connection with the turn of events in Bayelsa State.
Bagudu is the Chairman of the Progressive Governors’ Forum (PGF) while Badaru was Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Campaign Committee for the Bayelsa State governorship election.

The Nation quoted a source who spoke on the condition of anonymity as saying: “Atiku Bagudu is a regular face at the Villa, being the APC Governors Forum chairman.
“However, this meeting coming today after the development in Bayelsa is for a special reason, to look into the issues that happened in Bayelsa.
“This is also because Badaru was the chairman of the campaign committee for that election last year in November.”
