Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has officially taken over as governor of Lagos state.

He took the oath of office at a ceremony witnessed by a huge crowd at the Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos.

Sanwo-Olu takes over from Akinwunmi Ambode, who incidentally was absent at the inauguration ceremony, as the 10th elected governor of Lagos State.

Obafemi Hamzat, a former commissioner in the state, was sworn in as the Sanwo-Olu’s deputy during the ceremony.
