In 2002, in Korea/Japan World Cup, Nigeria was in a group called ‘the group of death’ paired with England, Sweden and Argentina again.
In 2010 World Cup in South Africa and 2014 World Cup in Brazil respectively, Nigeria was in the same group with Argentina.
On these occasions, Argentina had the better of the Super Eagles.
In Russia 2018, Nigeria will be hoping to defeat Argentina in the World Cup for the first time.
