Real Madrid are champions yet again.
Two stunning goals from Gareth Bale and one goal from Karim Benzema saw Real Madrid defeat Liverpool by three goals to one.
This makes it their 13th UEFA Champions League trophy.
It is the highest in Europe.
The game was going Liverpool’s way in the first half until their talisman Mohamed Salah got injured by Sergio Ramos.
From there, Madrid were in control of the game.
They came close on the stroke of half time but the game ended 0-0 in the first half.
In the second half, a silly mistake by the Liverpool goal keeper saw Benzema score the first goal for Madrid.
Liverpool pulled one back through Sadio Mane.
However, Isco was substituted for Bale.
His first touch was a brilliant goal – a phenomenal goal that will go down in the history of the Champions League.
From outside the 18 yard box, he scored a bicycle kick to make it 2 -1.
A few minutes later Bale made it 3-1.
For the third year running and the fourth time in five seasons they have won the UEFA Champions League.
No coach has won the trophy three times in modern times.
Zinadine Zidane has won three champions league trophies consecutively.
