The State Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Benue State Council, Mrs Victoria Asher, is dead.
The State Secretary of the council, Mr. Moses Akarhan, disclosed this in a press statement he signed on behalf of the council.
He said Mrs Asher died Saturday morning at about 8:00a.m at the Federal Medical Centre, (FMC) Makurdi, after a Ceaserean Session surgery.
THE Next Edition reports that Late Mrs Asher had been delivered of twin babies, a boy and girl, through operation at an undisclosed private hospital on Wednesday.

She was, however, transferred to the FMC where she was being treated before her death.
The secretary said Council will give notice for an emergency Congress to that effect in due course
