Nigerian musician, Naira Marley, arrested on Friday by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has regained his freedom.
He was arrested alongside another musician Omoniyi Temidayo.
According to the EFCC, they were arrested in connection with money laundering and cyber crimes.
Marley’s release was confirmed after a viral video of him walking out of the office of the EFCC emerged.
Recall that Marley in a recent Instagram post condoned the activities of ‘Yahoo Boys’ saying they were the ones that made money circulate to the poor masses and help Nigeria’s economy.
He had also accused the political class of looting the country adding that the economy would have collapsed if not for “Yahoo Boys.”
