After a long period of respite, suspected members of the terrorists group, Boko Haram, struck at a village in Yobe State on Tuesday.
It is Sasawa in Damaturu local government area.
The Commissioner of Police in the state, Mr. Abdulmaliki Sumonu, confirmed the attack when speaking with journalists.

He said the village was attacked Tuesday night, but could not give details as at press time.
“The attack happened on Tuesday night; we are still working on the details,” Summonu said.
It would be recalled that most people displaced by the insurgency had returned to their communities.
