Last night, the crème-de-la-crème in the entertainment industry gathered at Club Pablo, Cubana on Adeola Odeku Street, Victoria Island, Lagos, to celebrate the finalists of the just concluded Big Brother Naija, Season Three.
The party was organised by DSTV and Payporte, the official sponsors of Big Brother Naija (Double Wahala).
As far as entertainment is concerned, The Next Edition gathered that there was no place as lively as Cubana last night.
Thousands of people gathered but not everyone could gain access to the club as it was filled to the brim.
While the areas for the regular were crowded, the VIP lounge reserved for the Big Brother Housemates and members of their families was also over crowded.
The first Big Brother celebrity to walk into the club was Kemen. He was a housemate of Big Brother Naija Season 2 (See Gobe). The next was Gifty, who is also a former Big Brother participant.
While fans were excited to see housemates from last year’s show, they were eager to see the housemates that left the house last week Sunday (fresh ones).
The housemates came in one after the other around 1 a.m. and it was obvious Nigerians had a lot of love for them.
They received cheers and hugs from fans that had been waiting since 10 p.m. to see them. They were also gracious to fans by taking pictures and expressing their gratitude.
While they were all hugged by the fans, it was Miracle and Tobi who were almost mobbed by the crowd. It took the intervention of hefty security guards to lead them to the VIP lounge.
Some of the personalities at the event were: Ebuka Obi Uchendu, the host of the show as well as others like B-Red of the HKN Gang, Noble Igwe, Gifty from last season and Kemen as well. Even Obafemi Martins (Obagoal) made an appearance.
Exotic drinks and small chops were served for all guests.
The centre of attraction that night was the VIP. That was where the A-list celebrities were seated. Fans in the regular sections of the club all faced the VIP and danced along with the finalists.
One of the finalists, Alex was so overwhelmed by the love she received from her fans that she shed tears of joy.
Alex, who hardly drank alcoholic drinks in the Big Brother house, shared her drinks with the fans. She poured almost every drink that was served in the gave three of ear -rings to a lucky fan.
The highlight of the event was when Tobi got down from the VIP and danced with people in the regular parts of the club.

However, he had to be rushed back to the VIP section when people around him were too many.
In the Saturday party form as they usually had in the house, Miracle, Tobi and Alex were the life of the party entertaining all with their dances and vibrant nature.
Teddy A and Bambam who were strategic partners got the club late. They took pictures with some of their fans outside before heading in. In less than 30 minutes they left the club looking gloomy. They sure did not have fun considering the time they got there (3:30am).
Vandora who was among the first pairs to leave the house after three weeks, refused to speak with The Next Edition when she was contacted. Ifu Ennada also walked away quickly when she was approached.
However, Nina who made the last five was happy to speak. Speaking with The Next Edition, she said, “I am very happy for what I have become today. I will continue to give God the glory.”
Tobi another finalist is of the view that “the hype will go down very soon. It is what I make of myself that will matter in the long run. I want to build on this success. I will try and make the best use of this platform.”
This party ended the official media rounds and it is back to business as usual for them. It will be interesting to see how well they use the platform given to them by Big Brother.
