The Governorship Aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Bayelsa State, Boladei Igali has decried attempts by some people in the opposition to buy off all delegates being camped for the forthcoming Party primary elections on September 3, 2019.

Igali spoke through the Director-General of Project Bayelsa 2019 Boladei Igali For Governor Campaign Organization, Mr. Zee Debekeme who addressed newsmen shortly after a crucial stakeholders meeting of the Boladei Igali Governorship Campaign Organization in Yenagoa.

A press release signed by the Assistant Deputy D-G (Operations), of the campaign Organization, Emmanuel Appah, disclosed that there were sinister moves by the All Progressives Congress, APC, to influence the PDP delegates to vote a weak PDP candidate that can be easily defeated during the general election in November.

Debekeme therefore, called on the leadership of the PDP in Bayelsa to be aware of the clandestine move of the opposition to truncate the desired victory as a party so as to stem the tide.

According to him, “it is on record that the APC ruling at the centre is very desperate to capture one of the Niger Delta States and our beloved Bayelsa is their target and all well meaning Bayelsans, especially the delegates, should be alert not to sell their conscience and fall victim to manipulations of the opposition.”
