No fewer than four policemen were killed in a gun duel with bandits in Kaduna on Saturday.
The Kaduna State Police Command made this known on Sunday.
According to the spokesman, DSP Sabo Yakubu, a team of policemen was on patrol along Jankasa Village when they were ambushed and killed.

Yakubu however said those responsible for the killing would be fished out and dealt with.
According to him, some measures had been put in place to ensure that they did not escape.
He called on members of the public to help with useful information.
His words: “At about 0630hrs on August 11, a team of detectives attached to IGP intelligent Response Team (IRT) while on operation along Jankasa Village of Rigasa in Igabi Local Government Area in Kaduna State was ambushed by bandits.
“After a fierce gun battle, 4 of our policemen paid the Supreme Sacrifice…
“We appeal to the general public to assist the police with useful information toward ensuring that the perpetrators of this dastardly act are arrested and prosecuted.”
