Mr. Femi Fani-Kayode has described the attack on former Senate Deputy President, Ike Ekweremadu, by IPOB members, as a sign that the Southerners were angry.

Some members of the Indigenous People of Biafra had attacked Ekweremadu who was in Germany to attend and deliver a paper at the Second Annual Cultural Festival and Convention organised by Ndi-Igbo Germany in Nurnberg on Saturday.

Reacting to the incident, Fani-Kayode in a tweet on Saturday night, said that the attack was an eye-opener to every political leader in southern Nigeria that the people of the south were getting angry.

He said: “What happened to my friend and brother Sen. Ike Ekweremadu in Nuremberg, Germany at the hands of IPOB, is an eye-opener and clear signal to every political leader in southern Nigeria! The people of the south are getting angry and you either stand up and defend them or stand aside!”
