Gotel Communications Ltd, a Yola based television – cum- radio company belonging to former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, has sacked 46 workers.
The sacked workers were given letters terminating their appointments on Friday, May 1.
The termination was with immediate effect.
One of the sack letters read: “The management has decided to discontinue your services with immediate effect.

“Consequently, please be informed that your entitlements, including stipend in lieu of notice, will be computed and posted into your account with immediate effect.”
The letter was signed by Gotel Communications General Manager, Mohammed El-Yakub.
It was gathered that Gotel Communications had been facing financial problems for a while and the possibility of laying off staff had long been speculated.
