The Nigerian Army on Thursday announced the redeployment of some of its senior officers.
Those affected in the reassignment according to a statement issued by Col. Sagir Musa, the army spokesman, are; Maj. Gen. O.G. Adeniyi who moves from Defence Headquarters, to take over the Theatre Command, Operation Lafiya Dole, as Deputy Theatre Commander; Maj. Gen. E.C.N. OBI, who goes to the Defence Headquarters as Chief of Defence Standard and Evaluation and Maj. Gen. L.F. Abdullahi, going to Defence Headquarters as Director Veteran Affairs Division from Headquarters Nigerian Army Education Corps.
Others are; Brig. Gen. G.K. Nwosu, the Chief of Staff, Headquarters 82 Division, who has been reassigned to Nigerian Army Special Forces School as Acting Commandant; Brig. Gen. C.A. Apere, who moves from Nigeria Army Special Forces School to 82 Division, to become Chief of Staff; Brig. Gen. K.I. Yusuf, moves to Nigerian Army School of Finance and Accounts as Commandant.

The statement listed other officers affected in the redeployment as Brig. Gen. A.D. Gbadebo moving to Nigerian Army School of Military Engineering as Deputy Commandant from Headquarters, Nigerian Army Engineers; Brig. Gen. S.S. Araoye from Nigerian Army College of Logistics, who goes to head the Nigerian Army Central Workshop as Commandant, while Brig. Gen. M.N.B. Mamman, from Headquarters, Nigerian Army Engineers (Sappers Engineering Nigeria Limited) moves to Headquarters Nigerian Army Engineers as Director Army Works.
Brig. Gen. C.A. Thomas goes from Military Hospital, Lagos, to Defence Headquarters, Office of the Chief of Defence Staff, as Gender Adviser.
Col. D.C. Bako becomes Acting Chief of Staff in Sector 2, Operation Lafiya Dole; Col. S.O. Omotosho moves to Technical Group Electrical and Mechanical Engineers as Acting Commander, while Col. L.G. Lepdung, remains in Headquarters Infantry Corps Centre, as Acting Director Research and Development.
