Former President of the Court of Appeal, Justice Ayo Salami (rtd), has rejected his appointment as the chairman of the Corruption and Financial Crime Cases Trial Monitoring Committee.
It was gathered that Salami has already submitted his letter rejecting the appointment.
His grouse, it was learnt, was that he was not comfortable with the composition of the committee as he was afraid that there might be conflict of interest with some of the members of the committee.
Salami who was out of the country when the appointment was made, was said to have spoken with the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Walter Onnoghen, over the matter.
