Amended charges: EFCC re-arraigns Dasuki, 4 others

The Economic and Financial Crimes, EFCC, has re-arraigned former National Security Adviser, Col. Sambo Dasuki (rtd), and four others at a Federal Capital Territory High Court.

In the re-arraignment, the charges against Dasuki and others were increased from 22 to 25.

The suspects are being tried over cases bordering on financial misappropriation to the tune of N19.4billion.

Dasuki was first arraigned in November, 2015 along with former Minister of State for Finance, Ambassador Bashir Yuguda; former Director of Finance and Administration in the ONSA, Shuaibu Salisu; a former governor of Sokoto State, Alhaji Attahiru Bafarawa, his son, Sagir and their family company, Dalhatu Investment Limited.

But in the re-arraignment, EFCC counsel, Mr. Rotimi Jacobs (SAN) sought for the exclusion of the former Director of Finance and Administration in the ONSA, Shuaibu Salisu.

When the new charges were read, the suspects pleaded not guilty.

The case was adjourned till July 9 and July 10 for the trial to begin.
