Mr. Joseph Asiaye Alubeze, Leader of the Burutu Legislative Arm, has bagged the National Councillors Forum of South-South Zone Distinguished Leadership Award.

Alubeze bagged the award during the just-concluded National Councillors Forum, South-South Zonal Conference on National Security in Asaba, Delta State cpital’, with the theme,: ‘National Security Enhancing Local Government Compliance As Effective Tool For Security Management At the Grassroots.’

Presenting the award, Nurudeen Alimi, Chairman, National Councillors Forum of Nigeria, said there was no better ways to appreciate and thank Alubeze for his selfless services to humanity and the positive contributions to the legislative business over the years.

Alimi stressed: “We present this Distinguished Leadership Award in recognition of your selfless service and positive contributions towards humanity.

“We wish you all the best, and l urge you to continue to serve humanity and your constituency. Once again, congratulations on your well deserved award.”

Receiving the award, Alubeze said he was very grateful to the National Councillors Forum of Nigeria, South-South Zone, for finding him worthy among millions of colleagues, even as he described the honour as a rare privilege.

He said the award had challenged him to continue to serve humanity and the Burutu Local Government people.

Speaking exclusively to NEXT EDITION,, Alubeze, a three-time councillor and Leader of the Burutu Legislative Arm, said, “l dedicate this award to the good people of Kiagbodo town, Ward 13 and Burutu Local Government for given me the opportunity to serve as three-time councillor. I sincerely appreciate your support and prayers over the years.”

Ken Oyakemeagbegha, Councillor representing Torugbene ward 1 and the Deputy Chief Whip, Burutu Legislative Arm and Chairman of National Councillors Forum South-South Zone, and Majority leader of Burutu Legislative Arm, Pudiya Biakpara, in their reactions, congratulated Alubeze.

They said: “We are proud of you as our Leader and colleague. This award is in recognition of your accomplishments and your antecedents over the years. We appreciate your doggedness over the years in discharging of your legislative duties and your positive contributions towards the development of our dear Burutu Local Government.

“We are proud to identify with you as a colleague and leader of our Legislative Arm over the years. Once again, congratulations on your well deserved Distinguished Leadership Award.”
