A housewife, Mrs. Kausarat Oshineye, on Tuesday prayed an Ikorodu Customary Court in Lagos State to dissolve her nine-year-old marriage over alleged battery and threat to life.

Kausarat, 27, told the court that she was no longer in love with her husband, Kazeem, due to constant beating, which she added, made her to leave her matrimonial home.

Kausarat said that she stopped having sex with Kazeem since he became irresponsible.

She appealed to the court to give her the custody of their three children.

“I want the court to grant me the custody of my children because my husband is not a responsible man,’’ she said.

Responding, 33-year-old Kazeem, however, denied the allegations.

The President of the court, Mr. Otun Olayiwola, adjourned the case until April 25, for continuation of hearing.
