All is now set for the constituency briefing and empowerment programme by the Senate Minority Leader and immediate past Governor of the State, Senator (Dr) Godswill Akpabio, as he presents a midterm report of his representation in the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to constituents.
The event holds on Thursday at Ikot Ekpene Township Stadium.
A release by the chairman of Media and Publicity sub-committee for the event, Elder Aniekan Umanah, described the briefing as first of its kind.
He said it would feature the empowerment of constituents from all units, villages, wards and clans in the Senatorial District.
He said the presentation of his stewardship report at the red chambers will set a new narrative for the development of the district.
The release further stated that the Akwa Ibom State Governor, Mr. Udom Emmanuel, shall serve as chief host, while the Senate President, Bukola Saraki, is billed as special guest of honour at the event, which is to be chaired by the Deputy Governor, Mr. Moses Ekpo.
Meanwhile the press release stated that the chairman of the Central Planning Committee, Sir Emem Akpabio, and other members of the team at the central and local government levels had worked tirelessly to ensure a smooth outing.
