Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom, on behalf of the people and government of Benue State, has congratulated Mr. Douye Diri on his victory at the Supreme Court and swearing-in as Governor of Bayelsa State.

Gov. Ortom said the emergence of Diri as Bayelsa Governor has confirmed the Bible saying in the book of John 3:27 that “A man can receive nothing except it is given to him from Heaven”.

In a press statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Terver Akase, Ortom expressed confidence in the ability of Diri to provide development to Bayelsa people in all aspects of the economy.

He commended the judiciary for once more demonstrating courage in upholding truth and justice.

Ortom therefore wished the new Bayelsa Governor a successful tenure just as he commended the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, for its resilience while the case lasted in court.
