The people of Arigidi – Akoko town, a community in Akoko North-West local government area of Ondo State, the home stead of Prophet T.B Joshua, the presiding Pastor of The Synagogue Church of All Nations, commended the internationally acclaimed cleric over his landmark contributions to the socio-economic life of the community.
Unlike a prophet that is not honoured in his own town, the entire community are in unison expressing deep appreciation for what the man of God has been doing in their midst to touch lives by uplifting various people, either directly or indirectly, through award of scholarships and empowerment schemes aside from many people-oriented projects being cited in the community to provide job opportunities for the people.
Presently, some of the projects being cited in Arigidi-Akoko by Prophet T.B Joshua included a massive church auditorium that could sit over 10,000 worshippers, a huge housing estate, schools, health facilities, hotels, among others, which estimate runs into billions of naira, aside from other series of philanthropic gestures he had been rendering to uplift the lives of the people.
The people of the community, while paying glowing tributes to the globally acclaimed Prophet acknowledged that the cleric had singularly embarked on the series of gigantic projects to bring succor to their community and enhance the socio–economic value of the town, where other eminent and prominent personalities who are indigenes like him, had taken the back sit in contributing their quota to the economic development of the community, following the lingering Obaship tussle in the community which had lasted over a decade and had pitched prominent members of the community against the sitting Oba who was not enjoying popularity amongst his subjects.
The situation bordering on the stunted socio-economic development of the town led to a gathering in Lagos of representatives of Triangular Club, a conglomerate of 53 social clubs in Arigidi-Akoko where the club President, Prince Olatunde Olanipekun, while speaking for the club, emphatically acknowledged the huge contributions socially and economically Prophet T.B Joshua had made to engender development in their place, and how he had become a rallying point in his approach to matters affecting the growth, peace and tranquility of the community.

Prince Olanipekun stated that Prophet T.B Joshua was the only person at the moment who could rally the people to bring lasting solution to the lingering problem affecting the growth of the town arising from the Obaship tussle, as he was the only one the entire community could listen to due to the great influence he enjoys amongst the people in view of his contributions to the development of the area.
Prince Olanipekun, who incidentally was the one involved in the Obaship tussle with the incumbent Oba Yisa Olanipekun in a matter that was pending final determination at the Supreme Court, lamented that the uncompromising and hostile attitude of his opponent against every perceived antagonist was generating serious tension in the community, and had scared away prominent sons and daughters of the town both in Nigeria and in the Diaspora from coming over to contribute to the development of the town, except the likes of Prophet T.B Joshua, who against all odds, had continued to contribute immensely to the development of the community, which parades the likes of Aare Gani Adams, the Aare Onakakanfo of Yorubaland.
The club President explained that such huge developmental projects Prophet Joshua was citing in the town had greatly endeared him to the entire people, and even to Ondo State government to the extent that both the people and the government would listen to his intervention in finding possible lasting solution to the lingering crises rocking the town, and which had been slowing down its socio-economic growth.
He therefore on behalf of the Triangular Club of Arigidi–Akoko appealed to Prophet T.B Joshua in the interest of the people whom he loved so much, to intervene in the crisis by lending his voice in calling for the release of the government white paper on the chieftaincy matter, which had been pending since the regime of former Governor Olusegun Mimiko, adding that the incumbent Governor Olurotimi Akeredolu had also been petitioned to look into the matter.
