Final-year Varsity Student Killed By Gunmen

A final year student of the Department of English, Kogi State University (KSU), Anyigba, has been shot and killed by yet to be identified gunmen.

Reports said the student, identified as Joseph Apeh, had just concluded his final-year exams, on Tuesday, when he was trailed to the campus and shot by the assailants.

Some eyewitness said the gunmen, who were on a motorcycle, shot at the victim at a close range and fled the campus.

The victim was then rushed to the Kogi State University Teaching Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Spokesman for the Kogi Police Command, William Aya, who confirmed the incident said the attack was carried out by unidentified gunmen.

He said that investigation was ongoing to arrest the killers.
