No fewer than 11 people were killed by men suspected to be members of the terrorist group, Boko Haram, on Wednesday.
The terrorists invaded a military base in Malamfatori area of Abadam local government area of Borno State, where they unleashed havoc.
Some civilians, according to a source within the security circle, were also killed by the terrorists.
The Next Edition, however, could not independently confirm the report.
They were said to have arrived Malamfatori area in a large number, well armed and shooting.
They were said to have caught the security agents unaware.
Boko Haram was reported to have killed many soldiers last month when they struck in Yobe.

It was reported that over 600 soldiers were killed in the attack.
It would be recalled that about two weeks ago, the Nigerian army carried out a reorganisation of its force to be able to overcome the Boko Haram menace.
