The release therefore, called on governments and donors in all countries to increase investments in NCDs, especially in low and lower – middle – income countries, “where the NCD burden continues to rise and health systems are less resilient.”

The release further stated that “for an additional US$ 1.27 per person per year,  we can save over 1, 700 lives per day and reduce almost 15% of total premature mortality due to NCDs in low and lower – middle – income countries between now and 2030.”

The launching will be streamed live on WHO’s webcast at 12 pm GMT.
