The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has predicted cloudy weather conditions over the central states of the country on Sunday with prospects of isolated thunderstorms over Abuja, Nasarawa and Kaduna in the morning.
NiMet’s Weather Outlook by its Central Forecast Office in Abuja on Friday also predicted day and night temperatures in the range of 34 to 39 and 18 to 29 degrees Celsius respectively.
It said localised thunderstorms were expected over Yola, Lokoja, Abuja, Kaduna, Jos, Bauchi and Minna later in the day.
The agency predicted that the southern states would experience cloudy skies in the morning with chances of isolated thunderstorms over Port Harcourt, Calabar and Eket in the afternoon and evening.

It also predicted that the southern states would have day and night temperatures in the range of 32 to 35 and 22 to 25 degrees Celsius respectively.
According to NiMet, Northern states will experience partly cloudy to cloudy conditions in the morning with prospects of isolated thunderstorms over Southern Sokoto, Zamfara, Kebbi and Southern Borno in the afternoon and evening.
“Northern states will also have day and night temperatures in the ranges of 37 to 42 and 25 to 29 degrees Celsius respectively.
“Partly cloudy to cloudy conditions with prospects of isolated thunderstorms over most parts of the country are expected to prevail in the next 24 hours,’’ NiMet predicts.
