According to him, Hantar Daba, who the Kano police command had placed a bounty sum of N500, 000, reward for whoever would find him, has handed himself to the police command.

“Hantar Daba surrendered himself in the company of his mother and his topmost former rival now bosom friend, Abba Burakita of Dorayi, led him to the Police Command.

“The good news is that, the last person; Hantar Daba, who has been on the run for alleged crimes finally surrendered himself to the police,” Kiyawa said.

The police spokesperson said that any person or group of people that had anything against Daba should come forward to the Police.

He said that Dana, however, requested to be part of the amnesty programme of the state government.

He said that the suspect apologized for his past ugly life and now ready to participate in the promotion of peace and sustainable development of the state.

Meanwhile, Hantar Daba is currently under the custody of the Kano State Police Command undergoing security profiling.

The Commissioner of Police, Mr. Hussaini Gumel, called on anyone with a complaint against Hantar Daba to report at the office of the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) at Bompai Police Headquarters Kano. (NAN)
