Six months after Orji, another man jumps into lagoon

An unidentified man jumped into the lagoon in Lagos on Friday from the Lekki-Ikoyi Link Bridge.

The reason for his action could not be ascertained.

It was gathered that the man who was suspected to be resting suddenly jumped into the lagoon.

Already, officials of the ​Lagos State Waterways Authority (LASWA), Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), Marine Police and other ​relevant agencies are at the scene​.​

It would be recalled that a similar incidence played out barely six months ago when a medical doctor, Allwell Oji, jumped into the lagoon.

The incident happened at the Adekunle area of the Third Mainland Bridge.

Orji who was in a Sport Utility Vehicle on his way to Lagos Island at about 4pm on Sunday asked his driver to stop after he received a call.

He then walked to the railings on the bridge and jumped into the lagoon.
