Nollywood actress, Ini Dima-Okojie, has broken her silence on the most-talked-about movie: ‘Blood Sisters’ trending on Netflix.

A correspondent of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) noted that the Ebony Life movie production featured: Kate Henshaw, Deyemi Okanlawon, Gabriel Afolayan and many others with an unpredictable storyline, and an enthralling plot in the movie.

The correspondent also observed that the movie was full of twists and turns that kept its audience in suspense until the end based on themes of: sibling rivalry, parental favouritism, domestic violence, and toxic parenting.

Ini Dima-Okojie and Nancy Isime played the major roles with bonding chemistry in the movie that helped them to interpret their roles appropriately despite being friends.

Dima-Okojie said words could not express what the project meant to her because she gave her heart and soul to it in a post shared on Instagram.

The actress noted that she was indeed overwhelmed by the accolades the movie had received and urged Nigerians to get ready to be proud of Nollywood.

She also sent a message to those who were likely to be abused to always say no to their predators by raising their voices to condemn the act.

She wrote: “I can’t seem to find the words to express how surreal yesterday was and what this project means to me. I gave my heart and soul to this. I’m still so overwhelmed.

“All I can say for now is get ready to be proud of Nollywood Nancy Isime, I just want to say I love you and thank you,” she said.

She continued, “This post is for you Sarah. (The character she played in the movie), this moment you finally found the strength to say NO to your abuser.

“You were many things; you were soft and fragile, broken, traumatized, and scared to death half the time.

“You internalised your feelings and got so used to being told what to do and obeying, even in your friendship with Kemi. But, you found your voice and you were brave to the end.

“It was an honour to be given the opportunity to give life to you. There are so many Sarah’s out there. You represent so many women and even men that go through abuse and domestic violence. My heart goes out to you.

“I know it’s not as easy to speak up and leave as everyone advises. I know your life is hard and complicated. But I do hope and pray that you find the strength to say `NO’ and seek help, because you are not alone.

“Let’s all please remember to be kind and also be mindful of what people may be going through,” she concluded. (NAN)
