President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the sack of Usman Gur Mohammed as Managing Director of the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN).

He has also approved the appointment of Sule Ahmed Abdulaziz, to act as the CEO in the interim.

Abdulaziz, the TCN acting Chief Executive Officer, is an Engineer.

Meanwhile, Saleh also announced the confirmation of four executive directors (ED) by Buhari.

They are; Victor Adewumi, Executive Director transmission services provider, M. J. Lawal, ED independent systems operator, Ahmed lsa-Dutse, ED finance and accounts and Justin Dodo, ED human resources and corporate services.

TCN, which is wholly owned by the government, transmits electricity to the privately run distribution companies.
