A 28 years old man, Idris Mohammed, was on Friday arraigned before an Ikeja Chief Magistrate’s Court for the alleged theft of two motorcycles worth N370, 000, contrary to Section 287 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
He, however, pleaded not quilt to the charge.
According to Police Prosecutor, Victor Eruada, the accused stole the motorcycles from two different locations where they were parked on June 1, at Dopemu area of Lagos State.
The motorcycles were said to belong to Mr. Faruk Sule and Abubakar Musa, who appeared as complainants in the case.

According to the Prosecutor, Mr. Sule caught Mohammed as he tried to escape with the motorcycle and handed him over to the police.
The Chief Magistrate, Mrs. M. I. Dan-Obi, granted bail to the accused in the sum of N100, 000 with two sureties in like sum.
The sureties, she said must be gainfully employed with an evidence of two years tax payment to the Lagos State Government.
Section 287 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State provides a three-year jail term for stealing.
Further hearing has been adjourned to July 9.
