The Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom, has inaugurated his campaign council ahead of the 2019 general elections.
The body known as Ortom/Mabounu Governorship Campaign Organisation was inaugurated in the Benue State Governor’s Lodge, Asokoro, Abuja.
Governor Ortom affirmed the resolve of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to embark on an issue-based campaign to ensure the victory of the party in the coming elections.
He expressed confidence in the members of the campaign council, saying the PDP remained the best option for Benue people and Nigerians.
The governor said the council, headed by a director-general would oversee the day-to-day activities of his campaign.

The campaign council is chaired by the governor himself while Joe Nyam will serve as secretary and Terngu Shawon is the director general.
Other members are John Ngbede, deputy chairman, former Senate Presidents, David Mark and Iorchiya Ayu, former Governor, Gabriel Suswam and Titus Uba, Johnson Egli Ahubi.
Other members are Orker Jev, Abba Moro, Avine Agbom, Margaret Icheen, Rebecca Apedzan, David Ker, Felix Atume, Dave Iorhemba, Austin Awodi, Abeje Egwa, Emmanuel Agbo, Cletus Tyokyaa, Yandev Amaabai, Hon. Samson Okwu as well as the PDP youth and women leaders.
