Some youths in Akwa Ibom State under the aegis of Justice and Equity Forum, have declared their support for the return of the Senate Minority Leader, Godswill Akpabio, to office in 2019.

The declaration was made by the leader of the group, Usenmfon Ibanga, Umanah.

He urged the people of Akwa Ibom State of voting age to get their Permanent Voter’s Card (PVC) to enable them vote Senator Godswill Akpabio, for Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District election.

The youth also declared their support for Governor Udom Emmanuel, Elder Aniekan Umanah for Abak Federal Constituency as well as other Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, candidates in the forthcoming general elections.

In its campaign for the longest serving Commissioner for Information in Akwa Ibom State, Umanah, the group made up of youth in Abak Federal Constituency declared that Umanah stood a good chance to make the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, win.

Said Ibanga:  “He is a cerebral son of Abak Federal Constituency and a tested and trusted leader.

“He is the right person with the needed credibility and capacity that will fix the numerous problems of the people of Abak, Etim Ekpo, Ika and move the Constituency forward economically.”

He added that it was high time they put aside politics of self-interest and parochial tendencies that had been the bane of politics in Abak Federal Constituency and support someone who could represent the people well.

“Members of our group decided to come out this time to ensure that we don’t get anything less than the best for our people because the task of law-making at federal level should not be left for neophytes,” he stressed.

The group thanked Governor Udom Emmanuel for his “exceptional leadership and spreading life touching projects across the three Senatorial Districts of Akwa Ibom State.”
