Four persons have been kidnapped in Zazzaga and Masuku villages of Niger State.

The two villages are in Munya and Shiroro local government areas of the state.

The Niger State Police Command on Monday announced the kidnapping in a statement issued by its Public Relations Officer, ASP Peter Sunday.

According to Sunday, two people were kidnapped in each of the villages.

He added that they also shot dead one Sale Danjuma who tried to prevent them from kidnapping the two victims in Zazzaga Village.

Those kidnapped in Masuku Village are identified as Shekto Ali and Mai’aba Shehu.

The police spokesman said however that the command had deployed law enforcement agents to the areas to fish out the victims and arrest the perpetrators.

His words: ‘‘We have deployed plain-clothes operatives and uniformed policemen to work round the clock to enable us rescue those in the custody of the abductors as well as arrest the hoodlums and bring them to justice.’’
