Youths in Daudu, Guma local government area of Benue State, have protested against the mysterious disappearance of the manhood of some of their brothers in the community.
Acting Traditional ruler of the community, Chief Chado Oliver (acting Tyoor of Daudu) who confirmed the protest told newsmen on phone that some youths in his domain actually protested against alleged penis disappearance.
“It is true that some youths this morning protested round the town. They claimed that some of them have had their manhood disappear in mysterious ways.
“When they came to me, I told them to bring a victim so I can see but they couldn’t bring anyone. So, this morning, I went to meet another Chief to discuss the matter only for me to be called back that youths were protesting.
He said on hearing that, he immediately, rushed back and met with the Divisional Police Officer in Daudu and they both went round to appeal to them.
He however said that normalcy have returned to his domain.
The Next Edition reports that youth from Daudu community, located along Makurdi/Lafia federal highway, had taken to the street, blocking the highway, on Saturday morning, protesting the disappearance of the manhood of some of them.
The Next Edition also reports that Daudu, in Guma LGA is home to three Internally Displaced Persons, (IDP) camps housing thousands of people including women and children.
A source from the area who simply identified himself as Terwase said the aggreived youths came out to protest alleged cases of penis disappearance which they said had been a recurrent decimal in the area in the last few weeks.

Terwase told newsmen that not fewer than six young men have had their penises disappear mysteriously recently, a development which he said had made the youths to embark on the protest.
He the protest became the last option after the traditional ruler in the community did not show concern to their plight.
“The youths said there had been cases of penis disappearance in Daudu in the past few weeks. As at the last count, six persons were fingered to have had there penis disappeared in a mysterious manner.
“This morning which is the market day, the youths decided to protest peacefully against the nonchallant attitude of the community leader who failed to take action on the alleged penis disappearance.
“So, the youths in their numbers went to the market to disrupt it making everybody in the market to run for safety.
“As I am talking to you now, nobody is in the market, it is deserted and police in Daudu had to disperse the protesting youths with teargas.
When contacted, the State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Catherine Anene said she was yet to be briefed on the matter. She however noted that youths in Daudu were used to making such rumour.
